Translators

To ensure strict confidentiality and security all of thebigword's translators are required to a sign a contract as part of our recruitment process and before commencing any work for thebigword. This contract is underwritten by the Official Secrets Act, which forbids them to disclose, copy or distribute any information to a third party.

In addition to this contract, for sensitive documentation, translators are required to sign a project-specific agreement, which dictates the process for destroying all material as well as further binding them to the principles of the Official Secrets Act.

When translators sign our contract, they agree to carry out their services in accordance with the provisions and spirit of the code of professional conduct of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting.

LanguageDirector™

LanguageDirector™ is secure to credit card transmission standards. All translations are sent to a team of specialised translators through a secure translator centre and returned via the industry-standard 128-bit encrypted SSL. This whole service is password protected, which if required can be set to auto-expire after a certain time period.

For added reassurance translation requesters are also able to track the progress of their documentation as the web-based portal allows total visibility.
