What is Translation Memory?

Translation Memory remembers everything we have previously translated for you. This means when you send us content to translate we only translate the new text or edit similar text.

Translation memory is applied to files both at the beginning of the translation process (to check we only translate new text) and at the end (to add all this newly translated content to the memory).

The benefits of translation memory

You save money
You pay a vastly reduced rate for previously translated content.
You experience Faster turnaround times
The more content we translate, the larger the database becomes, the less we have to translate on further documents, the quicker we can return future translation projects.
Your Translations are more Consistent
By updating only new information, the style, tone and usage of phrases and terminology within any document will remain consistent with previously translated material.

Complete transparency

Not all translation companies share the benefits of translation memory with their customers. We operate on a completely transparent basis. The breakdown of new words, exact and fuzzy matched words from your translation memory is shown on quotations, invoices and even on the reports in LanguageDirector™ so you can see exactly what cost you are saving.

Your corporate asset

The translation memory that we will manage and maintain for you is your corporate asset. We can provide this to you upon request or periodically. This can be sent in TMX format (the industry standard for Translation Memory exchange), so you aren't tied into using us. Although we are confident after experiencing our service that you will.
